Marta Patrocínio is a Portuguese pianist based in Zurich, Switzerland. 

She has won prizes at national and international competitions and worked with renowned pianists of the musical panorama: Maria João Pires, Konstantin Scherbakov, Lilya Zilberstein, Emanuel Ax, Christine Schornsheim, Pedro Burmester, Paulo Oliveira and Eldar Nebolsin.

During her studies, she received scholarships from various Foundations: Zaczkowski, Hirschmann-Stiftung, Elsy Meyer, Zangger-Weber und des Freundeskreises der ZHdK. For four years she was a fellow of the program founded by the violinist Yehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now, Switzerland".

Marta started learning the piano in her hometown with Maria João Pimentel and at the age of 10 she pursued her studies with Eduardo Resende in Oporto Conservatory of Music. In 2012 she decided to proceed her studies in Switzerland at the University of Arts in Zurich, where she studied with Professors Karl-Andreas Kolly, Till Fellner and Konstantin Scherbakov.

She has performed as a soloist with Jenaer Philharmonie (Germany), Musikkollegium Winterthur (Switzerland) and Orchestra do Norte (Portugal). She has performed in many halls in Europe such as the Tonhalle Maag in Zurich, Stadthaus Winterthur, Casa da Música, Museu Romântico, Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida, Palácio da Bolsa (Porto), Salon Erfurt (Graz).

The pianist feels very connected to the music of the Portuguese composer António Victorino d’Almeida. His work is a source of inspiration for her, which she always includes in her performances.
Since 2018 she works closely with the Austrian cellist Hyazintha Andrej.

Marta shares her musical knowledge and passion for music with her students at the Music Conservatory in Zurich.
